Could you post the crash log that happens when you use “-repair”?
[SPQR]
when i type -repair, I don’t get a crash log. the program (not responding), and then the normal windows, " do you want to wait for program to respond or close program"
I have selected wait for program, and nothing happens. Waited approx 10 minutes.
FYI, I downloaded new .DAT file.
Old file size is: 25,696,665 KB
New file size is: 25,296,916 KB
Assertion: Invalid WvW Rank used in table lookup!
File: ..\..\..\Game\Wvw\WvwConst.cpp(74)
This looks a little odd to me. Could there be an account issue perhaps causing problems? Have you tried opening a support ticket?
Yea, I have a open ticket now. They asked me to DL the Game Advisor app.
But this app does nothing. It won’t load on my machine. I have tried running it in all ways possible, admin, compatibility…everything

When doing a repair, don’t use any other programs. When I do it stops responding. Just let the repair run on its own.
I was able to get to the first portion of the repair archive to work! YAY…but then after the repair was complete it went to the client launcher and started downloading..42% loaded and froze. FML…
Unable to re-repair. So, I changed the gw2.dat to .OLD…re ran the launcher and downloading the .DAT 26GB again! 2nd time within 20 hours…
Are you using windows 10? If so try making a new user account on your pc and run the client on that one. I just did it and it fixed my freezing issues, though I’m not sure that my problem was the same as yours.
How are you trying to repair? Have you tried this way?

I have a separate shortcut just for repairs. Also, is the game crashing in general (like most people are experiencing with HoT) or when you are trying to repair?
Yes, i did the repair just like that the first time. The support ticket guy also asked me to delete my local.dat file under appdate folder.
the support ticket people said that I have a corrupted file system. My game would crash when I waypoint into another world.
