I just got back into GW2 after a long hiatus and had to update my client. I’m able to get the progress to where it is playable but about a minute after that I get an error and the whole client crashed. I’ve done all the fixes mentioned here but to no avail. Hopefully the more tech savvy could help.

When i google on plsapp.dll i find the following:

i would start with running malwarebytes. ( www.malwarebytes.org)
