Like the title indicates, my play sessions are plagued with constant crashing. I crash constantly when map traveling, but it happens often during combat as well.

I want to play the game, but this is just getting to be too annoying to deal with.

Any suggestions?

Could be 2 things: 32 bit windows trying to page memory that’s in use
or
Guild wars 2 known error with Nvidia GTX cards.

Try the 3gb windows fix and if the problem stops we have the answer. If you don’t feel comfortable doing this then don’t.

Enable the 3GB switch on Windows Vista and Windows 7 (32-bit)
Right-click Command Prompt in the Accessories program group of the Start menu. Click Run as Administrator.
At the command prompt, enter bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 3072
Restart the computer. Then try game.

To un-do: bcdedit /deletevalue IncreaseUserVa
Reboot.

Meh. Yeah I am pretty much giving up on this. This has been going on since early release. If the game doesn’t work with Nvidia GTX cards or 32 bit Windows it should have said that on the box.

I had the same issue for the longest time (“Out of Memory” was very perplexing for me, cause i have 8gb of RAM and a AMD Radeon 6850 HD card)… at least when i wasn’t streaming

Cause for some reason, switching quality settings from “best-appearance” to “best-performance” removed the crash issue…

So i began to experiment what could cause this and today, i found out the option that makes the game crash frequently… It was the “Shadow” option…

Basically switching from “High” to “Low” removed the constant crashing… At least for me, I’m using a AMD card, so it could be different from a ndivia card, but try it… Worked for me
(and yes, im also using a 32-bit windows)

Thanks, Dajova. I’ve definitely experimented with the settings, but I’ll give it another shot.
