Guild Wars 2

Ok so i run my Gw2 on my Laptop. I recently got a monitor and now i just use the monitor and close the laptop. But for some reason my Gw2 is crashing. My computer screen just goes black and then shuts off then i turn it back on and its frozen on Gw2. I had no problems at all running it before…whatsoever. Never has it crashed once. Now that i have this monitor hooked up it crashes. I can’t reverse back to my old set up without a monitor cause i want to use this monitor. So what is the problem here?
Any suggestions would be great.

If you are closing the laptop, you’ll probably need to change the “close the lid action” in power options (Control Panel) – otherwise the laptop will either go into standby or hibernation mode.

I’m pretty sure that will cause the game to freeze or crash.
