Guild Wars 2

Once again, my game won’t function properly. It’s only a problem with one character, however. I can play on my others, but my main won’t let me logon, since it’ll crash the moment I select the character.

I’ve done the repair features, and all of that, and it still won’t work. Any suggestions?

You’re not the only one with this problem. I’ve had the same issue for weeks watching each new character I make become unselectable and crashing after a few days of play. I’ve tried just about every fix that has been suggested, even tried logging into my account on a completely different computer, and the game still instantly crashes after selecting that character.

I too am having this problem on a recently created character, Sent it to help desk and got some kitten-and-bull response about AVG interfering which doesn’t make sense because if AVG was blocking my game then I wouldn’t be able to log in at all let alone on all but one of my characters. Disabled AVG just in case and problem persists.

To save me from repeating steps you have already taken could you share what you have tried already.

Also have you tried deleting the local.dat file within your guild wars 2 folder?
