OK, I’m no expert but given the “failure on …” above, the first thing I would do is a -repair. It might not work but it would certainly do no harm.

Here’s how Anet advise you do a repair:-

1. Navigate to your Guild Wars 2 folder, which by default should be C:\Program Files(x86)\Guild Wars 2.

2. Move this folder to a new location like C:\Games\Guild Wars 2. The location doesn’t matter specifically, as long as it’s outside of Program Files and Program Files(x86).

3. Navigate to this new location and “Right-click” on “GW2.exe” selecting “Create Shortcut.”

4. Rename this shortcut to “Guild Wars 2 Admin Mode.”

5. “Right-click” on “Guild Wars 2 Admin Mode” and select “Properties.”

6. Click the “Compatibility” tab.

7. Checkmark “Run this program as an Administrator.”

8. Click “Ok.”

Once completed, let’s go ahead and repair the new installation location:

1. Right-click on “GW2.exe” and select “Create Shortcut.”

2. Rename this shortcut to “Guild Wars 2 Repair.”

3. Right-click on this shortcut and select “Properties.”

4. Edit the “Target” line to include -repair at the end.

Note: Please make sure -repair is outside of the quotes

Correctly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe” -repair
Incorrectly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe -repair”

5. Once completed, click “Ok” to save your changes.

If you get an error trying to save, your target line may not have the correct format. Please try step 5 again.

8. Right-click “Guild Wars 2 Repair” and select “Run as Administrator.”

Allow the repair to run and once completed, double click on “Guild Wars 2 Admin Mode” to launch the game.

I have researched this a little today already and I have tied this method with no effect.. any other suggestions? I was also thinking of upgrading to windows 8 64bit I’m sure that would help too maybe?

If it started after a patch or update, that is what’s probably causing the crashing. Happens with every mmo for some reason.

It can’t hurt.

Please bear in mind that I’m really not an expert on this but there are other things you can try.

- Reinstall the game
- Run Speccy to see if your PC is OK
- Run CPUz and GPUz to check for high temps and other things
- Have a look at your GPU driver suite to see if it’s up-to-date
- Run a Guild Wars 2 advisor report (that’s up in the sticky threads above)
- Post the spec of your PC so others can chime in

I wish you luck!

I’ve re installed it and it ran for a it longer than it usually does but eventually crashed for the same reason. the temps fine. I’m the farthest thing from en expert so I dont have a clue what run CPUz and GPUz means or where my GPU drive suite is:S… Im currently awaiting the advisory report to finish to send back

Lord Raw, judging by your report, I’d guess that you’re suffering from the problem that other 32 bit windows users are reporting. I’ll edit this post with a link from another person who found a possible fix that has worked for a couple.

Here it is, this may or may not work for you:

"
Those of you on 32 bit operating systems can try adding the 3 gig memory switch. I don’t know if this works on Windows 7, but it will on XP and Vista. I have no way of knowing if this will solve your GW2 ‘out of memory’ issues, but it [theoretically] will.:

http://www.vfxpedia.com/index.php?title=FAQ/3GB_Switch

Edit: Ignore the stuff about “DFX+/Fusion cache limit” it has nothing to do with GW2.
"

The other obvious choice is a 64bit OS. Post back if that link helped you.
