Guild Wars 2

I just bought the game and started downloading it. From what I have gathered from looking at various posts online the game size is about 20gb. When I went to check on the game this morning, It was up to 20.5gb with 148578 files to go. So I am wondering, how large is the whole game is currently?

Gw2.dat is where all the game’s data is stored. It’s dynamically allocated, so everyone’s is a little different and a fresh install will be slightly smaller than an existing one.

The total size for Gw2.dat should be around 20 GB.

For me, English language/NA version, the DAT file is 19.2GB.

Well, i’m downloading in English and i’m in Australia. I wouldn’t imagine there would be such a substantial difference.

Same here, mine is 19.2 GB.

Edited to add that I’m referring to the entire Guild Wars 2 folder.

How about the entire folder? Im at 21GB here… with no end in sight =(

Hm, I checked my dat file and it says 11.9GB while the downloader says 21.1GB. I wish there was a little clarity with these downloads, I have no clear indication how long this download will take.

Never installed new about the last ~2 years. XD (and no Problems since i started the game, <makes a cross>)
