Q:

I’ve been playing for a little while and lately I have been disconnecting quiet often and frequently. I figured since the game has become very popular and the servers are mostly at “High” or “Full” that there is a population overload, many people on at one time. I just wanted to raise this issue because it seems there are few having this issue on the pc side as well. If anyone knows anything or whats wrong it would be very appreciated if any info. could be provided to help this dilemma.

I’ve been DC’ing and in some cases, crashing and having to restart. I did not have this issue before. It has developed over the last week or so. My guildies play PC and havent had the same issues. When we run dungeons or PvP’d I’ll DC multiple times while they all keep playing. It is extremely frustrating.

I got the game not even a week ago, the first few days everything was perfect. But the last two days I’ve been Dc’ing and crashing like crazy is completely useless trying to play, can’t even stay on for more than 5 min without Dc’ing.

Bump! I can confirm this problem myself; I’ve tried the Mac Beta Client on two Mac’s, one with Lion (latest software updates) and the other with Mountain Lion (also latest software updates). Both get random disconnects ranging from 5 – 15 minutes. On one of my Mac’s I have a Windows 7 partition, and I have no disconnect when running the game in Windows 7.

This problem arose sometime during the last two days, as mentioned above.

Same here. I’ve been playing with the Windows version since the headstart, but the last 3-5 days on both Mac and Windows has been non-stop server disconnects (code 7:11:3:189:101). I have entered a ticket for it (apparently there’s a lot of people affected) and done all the port fixes, etc., but no resolution yet.

I’ve started playing GW2 on my MBP a week ago and during peak-moments (19:00h - 23:00h)I have found it very hard to play at all.

My FPS is 40+ so I’m not complaining on that end, but the lag/DC’ing can be very irritating. Especially because GW is such an rapid actionbased MMORPG where timing is an essential part of the gameplay.

But the Mac-version is still in Beta so there can only be better times ahead.
