Guild Wars 2

Long story short something is wrong with my ISP connection atm – i cant hold a DL stream from guild wars or any other downloads like this, it is my ISP, anyway. i can download at a constant stream torrent files for some strange reason. (slowly) is there anywhere i can DL the .dat file via anything resembling the way a torrent file downloads so i can get the updates that are stopping me from playing the game?

Not officially. The nature of Torrents makes them a double edge, as players will rarely offer upstream bandwidth outside of sheer ignorance. And external torrents can’t be properly secured, outdate quickly, and rely on deliberate seeds.

Your best option is Sneaker-net from a friends house, and just import the client files (but make sure not to overwrite your settings files).

only friends i got that play this game live a LONG way away from me and atm im stuck in my house looking after my baby while my mrs is in hospital with the other kid cause he broke his femur shaft lol and from what i just read about “sneaker net” i get the impression i would need to transfer from there PC via some flash drive.

:( kk thanx for reply – i just know from testing that i can DL from torrent and then this idea of the .dat came to me. Guess im f***ed till virgin media fix up and fix w/e the hell is going on.
