In fact, I would consider asking to having the e-mail address changed on your account, because an RMT bot to try and brute force your password.

Regarding that message though, it is likely that support account does not exist.

When you create a game account it does not create a support account, you must create a seperate unique support account to contact support. When you contact support you can provide your gw2 account name.

Usually the support account is based on an mail address. Better still the mail address is different from the one used for the GW2 account. They don’t want to have something connected with the account, although you can use the same mail address. But the display name seems not a good idea.

And as suggested by the other people here, I would now ask for an email change as well. There are bad guys on this forum, they could use information gathered here to hack you again.

I changed my e-mail passwords and names right after i post this,

i also enterd both my e-mail adress and my game account name in support login. i wasnt sure wich one it was because both ended with same result.
