Disconnects 7:11:3:189:101 since patch
I have the same error code since last patch (code=7:11:3:189:101), i have just posted the report in other replay posts before (2 times) but the problem remain.
I have deleted the posts because i don’t like to make public my informations about pc hardware and ip address, Arena Net can you help us to solve the problem or we must stop playing the game?
If you need the log file i can send you an e-mail but i don’t want to post it here.

Just bought the game two days ago, only got to play to level 4, and I’m already getting the 7:11:3:189:101 Error.
It’s making the game unplayable. Which is such a shame because I already fell in love with the game.
If someone, anyone, can help me figure out the problem I’d love to spare no expense fixing this issue.

This is getting ridiculous.
Im getting DCed all the time, i cant do anything.
I hope for your sake this gets fixed asap, or at the latest in that February patch.
Cause as it stands a huge part of the playerbase is plagued by this, and i doubt any of them are patient about not even being able to play the game.
A guild member and I just got this error 4 times for myself and him 3 times doing fractals. Exact same error as mentioned in the post title.
adding my name to this thread, just like other people roughly around the patch I started to get this issue it mostly happens in Lions arch when im on the TP and it makes it really slow only other times ive had it was once in TA it caused my chat to be so laggy around 2 mins behind and then dc’ed and then once I couldn’t log on due to this error so.
hope theres a fix coming soon
New problem for me as well. HAvent been on too much this week, but today it’s happening every hour.

i play this game a lot and I’m getting DCed every few minutes or even seconds. I have invested a lot of money in my account and am beginning to get VERY frustrated.
Can we get any kind of update? This is becoming ridiculous! Could someone from Anet at least post here if the server maintenance on the 13th might contain a possible solution for the multitude of disconnects people are experiencing?

Been regularly disconnecting these last few days here as well (New Zealand), same error code as everyone else. Also the client has occasionally frozen completely, requiring a hard reset to fix.

Been having some awful lag in game and infrequent disconnects since I bought a new PC. Stayed off for a few days and am now getting this error code a few seconds after I log in and my character lags out.

Been getting some random disconnects today and also last night during peak times and since the frost and flame path i have been suddenly experiencing random lag periods that cause TP and also in game combat to delay its horrible to play with i understand a lot of others are reporting the same issue…. can we have a update from a nice Anet person on this as its causing some distress and meaning game play is pretty much terrible.

I wish we would get some kind of solution for this issue or a hotfix. It is completely game breaking.
the game lags, 10 second delay on skills and mobs suddenly appearing in your way etc etc… always around prime hours 18-22. Been playing all morning today with no problems. So it has to be server related. Tired of Arenanet trying to tell us it’s a hardware issue on our end. Fix this issue…expand the servers or something. It’s really strange some people can playu without any issues at all, while I for one cant play with my friends because the game is unplayable at evenings…
this started to happen to me is well right after downloading the new patch prelude crap why send out a faulty crappy patch seriously and it has also given me quiet few lags issues here and their come on this game been in production for how long 5-7 years was it, what were you guys doing.

i tested again and found the following: From my work place i can play without lag or disconnects while from home i get disconnected in random intervals between 5 minutes and half an hour. I tested all sorts of recommendations, from firewall deactivated even thopugh the game is allowed access (even Antivirus off) to modem restart and port opening/forwarding. Nothing makes any difference. I got a reply from the support team telling me that the packet loss is a problem with my ISP. I contacted them and they say it is a problem with the game service redirecting me through absurd routes across the globe and failing to connect to the last hop (to get from Ireland to the UK i go half way around the globe… seriously why is that?). Still waiting for more detail from my ISP but i think the problem lies with ArenaNet/NCsoft as there are problems with

I’ve been having this same issue since roughly five days ago, never had any issues like this other than the first few days of launch. It’s making the game absolutely unplayable: I’m hitting walls of lag while doing story missions, only to be disconnected after getting most of the way through one of the obscenely long and boring Orr story quests…then just having to start all over. Also, this may just be me interpreting things negatively, but my entire internet connection seems to go haywire when I hit these walls of lag and disconnects; for almost an hour my connection will intermittently disconnect. Again, I’m not certain it’s the fault of the game, but this has only been happening these past few days, and only after I play GW2 up to one of these streams of disconnections and lag.
This is ridiculous, Anet: 14 days and not even so much as an update on what the problem is is unacceptable. At least tell us what you’ve found, because it’s obscenely frustrating and it makes playing the game literally impossible when abilities lag out completely, only to be followed by constant, repeated disconnections 20 seconds later.

However only during the peak hours of 19.00 – roughly 22.00 CET.

I am having this same error too since yesterday. I already filed a report to customer care. But after seeing that this problem existed more than 4 months ago and Anet still doesn’t have a clue to what’s causing it or how to fix it, I am not keeping my hopes up.
I only got this game less than a month ago; sunk a lot of time into it and enjoyed it a lot; but now I regret it knowing that Anet is a company who can’t fix problems existing more than 4 months back.
I don’t think I can enjoy playing a game knowing that the people running it are incompetent when it comes fixing customer problems. So I am demanding a refund.

As an update: I can’t rule out hardware problems on my side. I ran the game yesterday with a network cable connected direclty to my modem instead of the usual WiFi connection and had no problems for 3 hours straight (something i never achieved before). I will continue my tests and replace teh router/modem with a different, more powerful version to see if it is playable through WiFi as well. will report back.
Might be interesting to know how many people here are playing over a WiFi connection.
I have also tried to connect directly via Modem. After playing for nearly 3 hours without a disconnect i joined WvW.
After 20 – 35 minutes i got disconnected with the same error again, just as before with my router.
I have tried nearly anything but nothing seems to helps. In WvW the error occurs much faster. In PvE i could play 3 hours straight without the error.
My Firewalls are down, i am directly connectet with my modem, i have the Port 80 shortcut created, DNS Flush done etc.
Dont know if they will ever fix this problem its about 3 Months old and no Update since.
Starting to happen to me now and can’t stay in the game more than a few minutes. My instant messengers stay connected, I can stream movies flawlessly and speedtest results indicate speeds are where they should be. (I had to say that so we can avoid trying to research stuff on my side and focus on the problem… on your end). Any updates on this?

Here is my experience with tech support when dealing with this. First, they asked me to run the GW2 diagnostic tool. Then, they asked me to run ping plotter. After that, they told me that my ISP was to blame since they connection route they took was faulty. I emailed them with the data, and apparently there is nothing wrong on there side. To test this out, I used the ping plotter on other IPs similar to GW2 (takes the same route) and found that they were able to connect 100% of the time. So…I emailed the results asking why this is occurring, and still tech support says my ISP is to blame.
STOP BLAMING MY ISP!
Can’t even complete my current Personal Story quest because I keep getting disconnected. I logged into a different game and have not been disconnected, I’ll be sure to include that little nugget in my e-mail to my ISP.

Today and yesterday I have been disconnected multiple times throughout the day. I have a great cable connection and would never disconnect until recently. When I do disconnect the screen goes black and the error message pops up but then disappears so I’m not sure what the error is.
I’m done with this ________ game. Its going on top of SWTOR and my other piece of ____ games. I cant stay online for more then 20 min before dcing or getting a black screen with noise. And to make it even more frustrating every time i want to log into the game I have to open my email to authorise my log in( yes i can click on a check box). Like seriously what the ____ is with that. I run up to date current gaming PC’s, my hardware is never older then 12 months. I should not have to change my friggen modem settings (turn of a firewall} to play your bloody game. I should not have to edit anything on my pc registry to play your game.
And seriously, the last piece of advice I was given in my previous thread was to contact tech support for a 1 on 1. Droodey, you have not verified your email address and IP, thats why you are asked to check your email each log-in. Thats your fault for not following the registration system properly.
My rig is an ancient 5 year old machine and doesnt DC that much, maybe once a day. I have not needed to change anything other than tick compatability mode for XP, and thats just so it works as a 32bit app properly in my 64bit OS. As for your router/modem, you should enable uPnP then you wont need to disable the firewall to play. If it doesnt have uPnP, then your should really get a new one from this decade.
As for the 101 disconnect, for me it seems to be related to Black Lion. If Im playing and black lion fails to log in properly or takes a very long time to do so then a 101 disconnect tends to follow shortly after.

it seems most reports (mind you, not all) come from players with 64bit machines. Will try WiFi in compatibility mode over the weekend.
i activated upnp which didnt fix the problem (but i knew that because the ping shows the packet loss to be happening at he very last hop)
I had the exact same experience with the support as “International”. While they are quick to reply, they keep blaming it on my ISP when clearly the packet loss happens on their own machines. I dont understand: it isnt very difficult to send an engineer to the server centre and have the IPs in question checked out. there are exactly 2 IP addresses reoccurring in teh reports. and you have tonnes of reports at your disposal by now.
they either dont care (sure, we paid already) or dont know what to do. it is extremely unlikely that the problem is with 10 different ISPs rather than one game service, really.

This has been pretty much my experience over the last few days as well. The funny part was when I was told my ping should be 50-150ms, not 250ms; this despite me having already told them I’m in NZ, from here 250ms to the US is actually not too bad.
It does seem rather odd that practically all the data I gave them showed nothing more than a token amount of packet loss, while in game my skills regularly take upwards of 5 seconds to activate, I’m rubberbanding all the time and disconnecting as often as once an hour.
There really should be a latency indicator of some kind in-game like there is in GW1.

I have been having the same issues (Error code 7:11:3:189:101) as described above since Tuesday 12th February.
I contacted support who asked me to run a few tests and they showed I had bad packet-loss (sometimes up to 100%) and advised I contacted my ISP.
After a 20 minute call to my ISP, they asked me to run Command Prompt (cmd.exe) and perform a ping test through that.
After running that for a few minutes, it was shown that my average ms to a website (such as bbc.co.uk) was averaged at 16ms, and packet loss was at zero.
Where abouts are the European Servers held for Guild Wars 2? Can I have a website to test the traffic to for that?
An update would be much appreciated.
same as kibbled it started Tuesday 12th feb. i had people from my isp come and they even changed my modem so the problem isn’t with my isp not my modem not my router its with you
Believe it or not, their “EU” servers are actually in Texas. Go to www.ipfingerprints.com and look up one of their EU servers (ex: 206.127.146.74).

This new problem is hauting me down. Every time i log in with a char, it crashs after some seconds, so i can’t even play a little bit. The moment i enter, the char seems to use one skill or two, but after that, the other’s stay like a big big lag, and after some minute or more, the game crashs with this disconnect error.

It’s been more than two weeks. Is there still no fix?
I keep getting random disconnects. Somedays it’s fine other days the game is unplayable. I checked with my ISP and played other games online with no issues during those times of disconnects. The disconnects are random sometimes 1-2 minutes apart and others 10 to 20 minutes aparts, and not specific to time of day. Sometimes it will occur early in the morning then play great during peak times..
Arenanet please fix this…
Expiriencing the same issue as everyone else has reported. Was non-existent until this last patch came about. After getting dc’d, I’ve been able to login and play other mmo’s w/no problem. ISP is having no issues. Anyone know how to recover $$ spent on this game?

It’s not an ISP issue…it something at ANet. It was fine prior to the patch and it’s even fairly stable late at night. But during peak hours I’m getting constant lags followed by….
