So I have been playing GW since launch and I havent touched my settings since then yet now all of a sudden when I play GW it will crash my display driver. This causes the entire screen to blank with some span of color (either all grey with black glitched stripes or just completely black). It only happens with GW since I can play other games that are higher graphic quality yet those don’t display or freeze.

What else can I do? I tried the anti-aliasing thing, my drivers up to date, and I just tried re-installing the game. It’s getting to the point where I cant play the game since it freezes and then I’m dead, not even downed, just dead dead.

I’ve had this exact problem with my client, but on low to medium graphics settings, with a different(and more than likely lower quality) graphic card.

Intel Mobile 4 Series Chipset Family
7.15.10.1591
It’s allegedly up to date, downloaded and installed the latest package from HP and it still doesn’t want to cooperate with me.

Any suggestions..?

Maybe try updating to the latest graphics drivers. I believe people are on 13.x now.

Yes, definitely upgrade to the v13 driver suite.

I was getting this as well. I’ve also done the following:

- reinstated my o/c to 4ghz
- turned off my screen saver (!)
- playing in windowed mode (not ideal, but there you go).

Those four things (if you include the driver) are giving me a nice steady environment. I don’t know if some of those things are even relevant but it worked for me. Interestingly, now I’m running in windowed mode, my CPU cooler is having a nicer time of it, not stressing much at all.
