Does anyone else get this error?
My game crash every 20 minutes, but sometimes after 1 minut, with this error, It started after last update, i don’t know what to do too.
You are in the same situation as me. This is a very frustrating and annoying error that ruin our game-play experience. The sooner this error can get fixed, then the sooner we can return to play and have no problems doing so. I hope this gets fixed as soon as possible.
I’m having the same problem. At first it was happening only in WvW, and I thought it was just because there was too much going on at once so it crashed. So I’ve stopped playing WvW for the time being, but now it seems to crash “randomly”. Sometimes I’ll waypoint somewhere and it’ll crash, or when I enter a personal story instance, or just out of the blue.
You guys should update root certificates.

Same problem here..
Can i ask why do you come to this answer and what do these root certificates do. As i have the same prob today in particular i have been plagued with the serious error message when either bringing up the guild roster or zoneing sometimes even bringing up the inventory..
Same error in the logfile as the OP.

Renewed root certs and made no difference. Tried to get guild roster up and serious error message appears
Try to delete the local.dat file that might help.
It is located in the documents folder under gw2

This is totally pointless I am trying to do my living story mission called Forging the Pact and all that happens is the kitten serious error message keeps coming up and kicking me out the game. I have renewed root certs as suggested and it made no difference I now feel I cannot carry on. I followed and loved all of GW1 and I feel let down by anet with this prob…
Ok will try dat file
Oh well I got my mission done but when zoning to next part the minute I clicked on a waypoint the same problem occurred
Your best bet is to log a support ticket with anet to see if they can help.
By looking at the OP log file it might be memory.

Oki doki stormcrow will d/load the game advisor thing and go that route thanks for all your help…
I’m glad people are trying to resolve this issue. I can understand that it is very frustrating and I have spoken to ArenaNet and they do not seem to help at all.

I am going to try this method and see if it help me at all, I hope it works for everyone too.

Unfortunately this did not help. I am still recvieving the error
I ran the game advisor program and when i tried to attatch the 2 required files to the support ticket i dont think the attatcher bit worked properly as the blue spinning dots just kept spinning round for ages. W ill have to wait for a reply from the techs to see if the files went ok… Most frustrating.

I find it kind of ignorant how so many people are having this error and they have not even bothered to try to fix it. They are not telling us how to fix it either. I sent them a game advisor file a while back and they told me to do one thing. I did it, it did not work so I told them, they did not reply. Hence why I am posting on here my problem
The thing i see is that all other games on my computor all work perfectly including GW1, Crysis, Resident Evil nothing else on my machine causes any problems so the problem must be GW2. But i hold no hope for a fix especially as the support ticket page did not appear to work properly, i suspect that the 2 files they require did not go with the ticket..

I am 100% sure it is the client/game files and they just havent pin pointed the issue and have no clue what to do or else we would have heard something. If this issue is causing our systems problems, of course they wont say, “Hey guys, by the way, yes there is a problem and our game might cause crashing and screw up your computer!” They dont want people to panic or stop playing. Duh.
Of course we upgrade to 8g of ram and we get problems now, not when we had 4 lol.
I’ve already posted plenty of times, and I am just warning all of you, its best not to play until a fix has been officially implented. Back up your important files, or just delete all GW2 and dl a new file/client to be on the safe side. Dont bother trying to find a fix or mess around with it. We followed instructions from tech support and it made our system worse. One game and faulty programming isnt worth it.
Are you guys running the game as administrators?
Is there a more detailed crash log in the OS event view in administrative tools?
Event Viewer is an advanced tool that displays detailed information about significant events on your computer. It can be helpful when troubleshooting problems and errors with Windows and other programs.
Open Event Viewer by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, clicking Administrative Tools, and then double-clicking Event Viewer.? If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Yes I am an administrator. I am the only user on this computer
Currently it looks like a lot of people have been having this issue since the most recent patch, probably the accidental introduction of a memory leak.
As for Anet’s silence on the matter, they’re probably still combing over the 70 billion crash reports that have all flooded in since the patch that broke everything. The best course of action right now is to limit your playing of the game if you’re getting BSOD errors or if the game is crashing often, because repeated crashes could corrupt your game installation or damage your computer hardware.
Hopefully Anet will put out a fix for this soon, otherwise they run the risk of some of their players getting fed up and simply leaving the game for an extended period of time.
Ok i looked at the crash report that GW2 made on my comp and they all say ran out of memory. So on Win 7 there is a gadget that lets you watch cpu load and percentage of memory usage, with game off memory usage is 35% with game running memory usage rises to 87% and climbs very slowly as you play until it crashes out. My comp has 16Gb ram so i decided to look at my virtual ram settings and they were set for windows to decide size of virtual ram, so i have changed this to manual and have set my virtual ram at 5Gb max/min and have played all day with no faults. And memory usage meter shows 72% constant. So i have had fun again, (hope it hold out)..

Anyone else tried increasing virtual memory yet. Just remember it aint a permenant fix for anet it is just a workaround. So far I am still working ok..
