Guild Wars 2

Hello there.

I’ve been playing GW 2 since premiere and had absolutely no issues. After updating NVIDIA drivers and couple of patches – game became even smoother.

However, since one of latest patches i’m experiencing increase of map loading times (like twice longer O_o) and general skill lag. Weird thing is that most of my guildmates play fine, when some of them report only lag issue.

I have tried to find out what causes it – changed graphic drivers (just in case), did antivirus scan, switched antivirus off, checked hdd – nothing.

I have 30 MBit/s connection and tried that on 6 MBit/s one too. No difference.

Is there anyone experiencing such issues?

Yeah I’m with you in this boat also, the loading times are absolutely ridiculous now….
I have the latest drivers and a brand new 670GTX. One issue that I have is the screen or graphics flickering and flashing a light blue. Some times its the whole screen or just random big chunks of the map, ie building or terrain.

Have you guys checked your FPS in the option screen? See if its really low like less than 10. My game was running smoothly up until yesterday’s patch then it became almost unplayable for me. I noticed my map load times are a little longer too. Now I’m not saying its the patch but I find it awfully interesting how the day before my game was running smoothly then yesterday morning I load the game, it patches as usual, then my game becomes choppy/laggy like it did during beta.

My fps are quite good, but overall loading time of like… everything got riddiculously up. I was used to waiting for all sounds to pop in, cause i had that “hear nothing” issue quite often but thought that’s just because “only” 4 GB of ram i have, but now it is not even funny.

I’ve got pretty nice rig here (i guess), even for a laptop:

I5-3210m
GTX 660 M
4 GB ram

so that shouldn’t be an issue.

I’m doing a scan with BitDefender right now, so if it will change anything at all – i will give you a heads up.

Yeah i got the same problem… Game was running just fine a few days ago, but after the last 2 patches its totally unplayable now. And it’s not just map loading slow, it’s almost everything in the game, like trees and other objects. Really hoping for some official response to this,as i would like to know if it is the game or my sistem that is causing this problems.I can play all other games just fine tho.

So i have checked everything – Antivirus scan, malware etc.

Tried pretty much everything, even considered that i somewhat changed something important in system settings, but nope.

Seems to me like a memory leak issue of some sort, but i am no expert. Game is playble, but awful loading times make it pretty annoying. Maybe someone will take a note of this issue and provide us with solution soon. Or some new patch maybe?

unfortunately that’s all I’ve got the game’s performance for took a nose dive for me yesterday. We have similar systems but it sounds like different symptoms.

increased loading times, yes map load takes about twice as it did before.
used to be around 5-10 sec before..and is now like 20 sec.
fps lag…not more than it was before..
tho im not running it on windows..but in linux through wine…so it might be different on the native environment.

Yea my map loading times are outrageous, plus it seems like the longer I play the more lag on abilities I get… End up having to restart game although that doesn’t always work. Its especially bad at night when a lot are on.

Is it perhaps the datfile getting fragmented?

Hey. I also have lagg. Im driving with GTX 670, 16 GB ram and i5 2500k and the latest version of Nvidia. I got lagg in the game 24/7 and its kitten anoyying! Im like driving 58 FPS then 5 then up again then 5-10. This is serisouly anoyying.

NEED HELP!
