[Aeon of Wonder]
Maguuma Server
(edited by DeathMetal.8264)
Prior to this current feature pack, if I have my Account, Password and Auto-Play check boxes marked, I only need to click “Login” button on the very first time. Subsequent execution/double-clicking of the “Launcher” will auto-login and, also since Auto-Play is checked, will also put my game in the character select screen.
I know it’s a minor issue compared to other crashing and lag that others have, but this QoL used to be in the prior launcher and I really would like to have it back.
In the past, I would double click the Launcher, then head off to grab a cup of coffee and be back with the character select screen. Now, I always have to always click login as well. I know it’s a minor issue in the big scheme of things, but pls pls, would like to have it back since I don’t know of anyone who has complained about the issue of auto-login.
edit: btw, -repair didn’t fix the issue

I’m having the same issue mild inconvenience. I use the -maploadinfo and -autologin command line options on my GW2 shortcut. Map Load Info still works, but autologin doesn’t. This happened immediately after the patch.
have same issue:
I bypass this with the -emal email@blabla.com -password passwordhere -nopatchui
Yeah, I noticed that I have to click “Login” now also. It’s a minor annoyance, but they’ll probably fix it unless it was an intentional change.
Minor annoyance? All other transgression would have been forgiven, were it not for this one.
Rage! 99% srsz.
Oh, I thought it was just me.
Well, this is unacceptable. Immediate unsub.
Same here. Annoying, but better than a crash bug!

Oh, it never worked on me the first time I tried, I’ll try it again.
Same here. Fix pls Anet.

Tried it,it’s what i used to do with Gw1 to autologin.
Doesn’t work here though(it used too!),which kinda sucks for those of us with super long passwords with capitol letters mixed in,like we were advised for “security”.

While it doesn’t look like it, you don’t have to retype your password.
I’ve tried this and it works fine for me. I normally have it off so I can see the notes but turning it on, exiting launcher and restarting it works as soon as I login.

The -email -password -nopatchui must be outside of the quotes. If your password has any spaces in it, then it would look like this, -password “PaSSwOrD 1456eFt” (example password with space)
Example:
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -email johndoe@hotmail.com -password PasSwOrD321 -nopatchui
