I am attempting to input Japanese and Korean into the chat window using an English version of Windows 7, but haven’t had much luck in getting IME to work.

When I switch to hiragana, a small hiragana ‘a’ appears in the chat window before the input box — leading me to believe there might be some kind of support for IME — but when I type nothing appears in the input box or the chat window if I press [enter].

My system is properly configured and Japanese and Korean input work in all of my other programs.

I’m wondering about this too!
I saw a Korean guy typing Korean Text and I’m like “OMG!!! I Want to type japanese!”

Seriously! Anyone got answers? I want to do this soo bad! lol

Apperantly IME is supported. It does work.
However, There is a glitch where Japanese/Chinese characters wont allow them to appear.

Game supports IME, but the font used by the game seems to lack Hiragana and Katakana characters. Kanji seems fine though.

Changing the font to something that supports most languages can’t take that long. So please ArenaNet, fix it as soon as you can!

Yes, GW1 supports Kana and Kanji effectivly.
So what happend to GW2’s ?

Any official words of this issue would make me happy.
