Guild Wars 2

Ok so I bought the game in Europe, UK specifically, a while back and got the urge to play again. The issue is I’m travelling and currently in India. I’m trying to download the game but the download speed is averaging around 30 kb/s. I have no idea why this is happening as torrents, youtube, other streaming ect runs perfectly and my internet speed frequently goes to 2 mb/s. I’m wondering why the GW2 downloader doesn’t seem capable of topping 40 kb/s.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as naturally downloading 15gb at that speed is kind of ridiculous.

Some bottleneck on the way, not much you could do about. Maybe try a high bandwidth VPN to somewhere else, ANet’s probably using CloudFront CDN so you could be lucky and bypass the bottleneck or land on a different S3 cluster.
