Just a heads-up:

This morning when I tried to start the game the launcher hit me with the message “Download failed. Please check your internet connection and try again.” and completely froze. Got past it by temporarily turning my internet security suite off.

After doing the daily I began to troubleshoot. After some digging I found out that for some reason my security suite blocked assetcdn.101.ArenaNetworks.com as a suspicious website. After assuring said suite that ArenaNetworks.com is a good domain all is good again.

I keep having the same issue, idk what’s going on, but highly annoyed. I’ve tried disabling my firewall, cause that has nothing to do with it anyways. But people tend to think so, restarted my pc, router, etc. I was on it a few hours ago just fine, but all of the sudden I try to log in this morning and nope.

I had the exact same problem this morning. It had never happened before and I don’t know what caused it but, following Krattack’s post, I forced my firewall to accept “assetcdn.101.ArenaNetworks.com” and it works.

@srzekee.2014 Glad it’s working for you, idk what the issue is on my end, I can play other games just fine. But I use VIPRE virus protection, I’ve added said gw to the “exception list” stilll nothing, I’ve disabled the wall for now, and it still doesn’t do anything. Again, never had this issue, "Download failed! Please check your internet connection and try again. (2)

Is the same error code it keeps giving me, the client than will not close, I have to open up windows task manager to close it.
