Drastic FPS Change Since 02/21/13 Update
This got to me because I was killing a champ and missed the chest at the end because of the lockup and freezing. I couldn’t even quit the app, it locked up so bad. I restarted and checked the forums and a user named Hollow said they wiped the GW2 application support folder.
Something I’m learning is to always delete the “Library > Application Support > Guild Wars 2” folder if there’s a major issue that Arenanet updates for the Mac Beta Client. (This should be inside of your user folder if you have trouble finding it.) The client automatically generates the application support files itself so even if it scares you to delete it, it shouldn’t harm anything. I don’t think the permissions rewrite correctly/unilaterally for the new update files on the user end, and that could be the issue.
I have not experienced this. I have heard the new mac os x 10.8.3 coming out has video driver improvements which should help our frame rates across the board. Too bad they are on beta #11 but I believe this to be coming out yet this month or few weeks at least from what I have read on various online sources.
I can say with 85% certainty that the mac client will always be in beta.

Count me in. The newest update borked my framerates something horrible. And events in Cursed Shore are pretty much useless now since I drop to like 4 fps during them. Before the update, I was still getting 24-28 fps. After the patch, events are useless to me
What is the result of deleting the Guild Wars 2 folder from ~/Library/Application Support/ ? Does this restore performance?
