This just scared the hell out of me. Is this for real? or a hoax?

Me too.. I got the same email..

I just got the same one and freaked out immediately changing my password and disconnecting logged in accesses (myself). It seems to be some kind of bug in their system. Clearly Anet thinks my blood pressure is too low…well played Anet, well played.

Same here, just a bug I’m thinking since my account hasn’t been changed or accessed from anywhere else. You can see if your account has been accessed by someone else by going to My Account then selecting Security on the left hand side.

Same, but logging in (like, to post here) proved it hasn’t been changed. The originating email matches verified ANet address (the one I used to register my game purchase), so I’m wondering whether a) something internal is kittened, or b) they had a bunch of failed attempts which generated these warning emails. /worried

received as well, changed password.

Made me really scared since the title is “email account changed”, but the actual email says it was a request. Came here to see it was probably just a mass send out
