“I’m finding companies should sell access to forums,
it seems many like them better than the games they comment on.” -Horrorscope.7632
Apparently, some emails coming from ANet to Yahoo aren’t making it. After nearly a week of frustration, I finally got a note from one of the help staff that there is an unresolved issue with Yahoo.
I can hope ANet is working on it, but really, if that issue had been at all known, some notice would have eased some minds (like mine!) about it.
There is a HUGE thread in the ACCOUNT issue forum on the issue:
This issue is NOT wholly ANet’s fault (tho, I’m not 100% convinced they are not doing some finger pointing as well). Huge email providers like Google and Yahoo are notorious for not expending any effort to fixing issues like these. I have run afoul of them with a few message boards I manager for my work and we finally just banned using gmail accounts as they refused to even talk to us about why we were having unexplained and inconsistent mail exchanges. It was just not worth the hassle (not to mention that it cut our spam user sign up by nearly 75%).
To your point, I think that thread should be stickied (and maybe linked to in a sticky here).
