Guild Wars 2

Getting this error code when I try to login from the game – was fine yesterday, and internet connectivity is fine (am able to login and post on gw2 forums, as evidenced by this post). Anyone else having this issue?

Yes I am getting it, I think server is down for Maitenance.

Yeah, been trying to log in for 30 minutes or so, still no luck. It was fine a couple hours ago for me.

Yup, just saw it on the Announcements window thing.

Glad I am not the only one with this issue. I know that this is a common issue for online games, but it would be nice if developers anticipated this sort of thing and gave some sort of “Servers shut down for maintenance” message, rather than a generic message that made you question your own connection. The same problem here.. Looks like they had the same problems 4 months ago but then fixed it soon.

It’s not a problem if they announced the servers were going down six hours before they took them down.

It was a large red message at the top of the page when you first logged on to the forum tonight or refreshed a forum page. It’s listed in the announcements on the right hand side of the main forum page.

Oh jeez. I totally didn’t see the stuff on the right hand side of the forum page. I’ve been trained to ignore anything in that space/format, because that’s where the ads always are xD

haha i tried to correct my firewalls and everything and for nothing. should’ve come here straight away any experiences how much estimated times vary from the real duration?

same error here on both of my accounts, even tried it on another pc and still the same message
