Error Message d3dx9_43.dll is missing
I would try to reinstall Direct-X .. or : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQ-xsCDXGBc
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
If you want a direct link to Microsoft for DirectX – http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109
I already tried to reinstall direct-x. Also, copying a DLL from an unknown source is not a good idea ever. I have checked other games on my completer. Guild Wars 2 is the only game doing this. Any other ideas?

I looked around online, and found out it was caused by SweetFx. I can live w/o it so I just deleted all my SweetFx files and the problem went away. Hopefully it works for you.

I don’t use SweetFX or even know what it is. I tried using the solution from Beldon it did not work. This is driving me nuts. BTW I tried to play GW 1 and took took off with no errors. This problem is only when I start GW 2.

Still having the problem. Re-installed DirectX and the game. Somebody? Anybody?
Open the start menu and search for cmd. Right click it (cmd.exe) and run it as an administrator. Enter the command to find any problems involving system files:
sfc /scannow
Delete the folder %appdata%/Guild Wars 2/. Open the folder where GW2 (Gw2.exe) is located and delete everything except Gw2.exe and Gw2.dat.
Try running Gw2.exe.
If it still does it, open the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder and copy D3D9.dll and D3DX9_43.dll to the bin folder located where Gw2.exe is.
I already tried to reinstall direct-x.
You “tried” ? Does that mean it was not successful ? At least it sounds that way to me.
Else after reeinstalling DX you should also maybe uninstall and reeinstall your video drivers.
