Guild Wars 2

I get the error in the title whenever I try to install from DVD on my windows 7 computer.
I double click GWSetup.exe from the DVD and that error pops up, It also happens when I use the downloader from the website, The same exact error, I found a file somwhere on the net GW2.exe that lets me sign in and start downloading the game. But it just looks like someone took the launcher out of the game directorty and placed it on the net.

I really REALLY don’t want to download the whole game when I have it on two perfectly good DVDs

Same problem. Only happens with GW2. I can begin the installation process no problem, but if I re open the game after awhile I get that error message

I am getting the same issue. The game client will not start if I run it from the “C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2” folder. If I move the files to the desktop and run it from there, the game will start and play normally. If I move the files back to the GW2 folder, the problem resumes. The first window that pops up has the title “Guild Wars 2 Game Client”, and says, “Guild Wars 2 Game Client has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program.”, with “Close the program” as the option. Clicking on that brings up the “Gw2.exe – Application Error” window that says, “The application was unable to start correctly(0xc0000005). Click OK to close the application.”, and then gives “OK” as the option, at which point it closes. This started suddenly a couple days ago, and has persisted after re-downloading all the game files and restarting my computer.

And just as suddenly as it began, the issue went away, and the game will load from original folder again. No idea why it started, or why it went away.
