Hello People!

Can anyone please tell me what this error code means, I purchased GW2 for my daughter and we cannot log in!!!! We just keep getting the gray window saying Build : 35898 and Error Code 11:1001:2:1272

I used my email on original purchase and it went through fine, but I wanted her account to have her email on it so we authenticated it using her email. Now we are unable to start the game, change the password or anything, it’s very frustrating!

Looking at wiki, the 2 error codes listed that start with 11 are incorrect password.

Just to check, since it’s a common mistake, she is using email and password? Some people try to use the Display name (your Display name is Reeinoz for example). It will be the same login that is used for the forum.

If she is using the correct email and password then she will need to contact support. If she is a minor child who is too young to do this, you can fill out her account information for her of course. Contact support by support and submit a request- from the top of the forum page.

Build 35898 is information about the game and has nothing to do with this problem.

i got the same issues, i reinstalled my game after being away for a while. Reset my password because i forgot it. Now it keeps saying i have a incorrect username/password.
Already submitted a ticket, hope they will fix it soon.

Approximately a day ago I decided to come back too after a long hiatus playing other games. I re-installed the game on a new computer and also could not log in. I could log in on the site but not the game. Same error code with “The account name or password you entered is invalid. Please check your information and try again.”

I put in a ticket, in which they gave me a link to change my password yet again. I had changed it 3 times previously but it would not change on the site. Now it is changing on the site, but WILL NOT change on the game. Talk about frustrating! Guess it is time to sit back and wait.

Are you sure you are using email and password? That’s the most common mistake, besides misspellings. Many people try to use their forum display name. It’s the same login as for this site.

I got the same issue, I reinstalled the game after some time. I can log in here but i can not log in on the game client. And yes I can type my password, which should be obvious or else I could not write on this forumthread, and I tried both, my E-mail and my Account-name on the Client. I even tried one of my old character’s names.

However none of the above works for me and I keep getting the same Error code.
