Q:

Since Monday Oct. 26th, I have been having the same issue/error:
Whenever I launch the game client, it begins to download and then it suddenly crashes and I get a Submit Error Report. This is the information from the report, it is always the same. Essentially, I get an “Exception:c0000417” error which I cannot get past.

I have tried to add command lines to the GW2.exe, and that makes no difference. Did the whole reset TCP/IP settings, nothing. Uninstalled, and reinstalled the game…even worse cause now I can’t even get all of the game files.
I’m about to try installing on a clean windows partition, but I have a feeling that won’t work either.

It seems that as soon as this new expansion went live, my game became broken and unplayable.

If this continues, I might just have to ask for my money back and move on…

That’s because you have a completely different error according to your screenshot here.

If the error log doesn’t have the line “Module: HMIPCore.dll” this won’t help you.

Yes agreed. Mine is OOM error only. As mentioned earlier, I am using lowest graphic settings, opted for best performance and disabled the AV as well. The game still crashes. All was fine till HoT was released.

IT IS THE PATCH. Hope they fix it soon.

So why are you posting in this thread if you have a totally other problem ?
There are masses of OOM threads, post there or make your own.
Or even better, just read the tips there what can prevent OOM crashes and
try those.

Most important : upgrade to 64-Bit Windows.

EVERY MMO is awesome until it is released then its unfinished. A month after release it just sucks.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

They know because the crash dump analyser has identified it and shows it at the top:
