Excessive screen tearing?
What you took a screenshot of is not tearing, so v-sync and other frame limitations won’t do anything to fix or lessen the problem. That is some sort of graphical corruption. It could be caused by a bug in the driver, a bug in DirectX, a corrupted vertex list in the GW2 data, bad data sent to a shader, many things. It could also be a bug in GW2 itself, as there are several bugs with the camera system displaying or not displaying the world properly at times.
You can try to fix the problem by making sure you have the latest updates and bugfixes for DirectX and the latest version of your display driver. For DirectX, you can use the DirectX Web Installer from Microsoft’s website to make sure that everything is patched up to the most recent version. For your display driver, you’ll probably want to check the ATI/AMD website, if your video card can use the generic driver.
When was the last time you updated your display driver? If it wasn’t within the last week or two, then you don’t have the latest driver. I’ve heard that the ATI 12.11 drivers are supposed to be pretty solid and offer some performance benefits for the newer ATI chipsets, so it might be worth getting them. Otherwise, most of the ATI drivers that are at least as new as the 12.6 drivers (from June of 2012) should work.
If you want to see if someone remembers a particular bug in your display driver, you can attach a dxdiag.txt report for your system. That will show what hardware and drivers your system has so the other posters can see if anything jogs their memory.
Hey thanks for the reply, didn’t get a chance to check back yesterday. I ran the DirectX updater and it said I had the latest version, did the same for my drivers and everything seems to be updated. I reinstalled GW2 as well, and I’m still getting those buggy graphics. The search for a fix goes on…
Attached a dxdiag, maybe someone can decipher something from it.

When does this happen ? right away when you start up gw2,or after a while playing ? It can be because you overclocked your gpu too high,or your gpu is starting to overheat.Artifacts like this usually turn out to be because of this, try monitoring your temps and setting your gpu clocks at factory settings again ( if you oc’d it that is).
When I start GW2 I see the artifacts on my characters in character select right away. There are some strange, static green pixels on some textures as well…might be related? I’ve never overclocked, and my gpu hovers around 50°c with the game open.
