Hi fellow gamers,

I just downloaded the mac (beta) client for my Early 2011 Macbook Pro 13,3" (Intel HD graphics 3000). It’s able to run it pretty smooth, but i have a major problem with the display settings. I want Guild Wars 2 to run on full screen (or window) mode on my external monitor. My Guild Wars settings only finds my 13,3 inch (1200 × 800) screen and I can’t figure out how the get it to run on full screen on my 21,5 inch full HD monitor.
Thanks in advance

this most likely comes down to system settings you need to change your primary monitor system wide (probably) inorder to fix this,

Easy enough to try simply
Open system preferences and click displays
on one of the displays you will see a white bar, drag that bar to the other screen and it will become the primary.

Switching is quick and painless and will (probably) fix your problem.

Assuming you haven’t just tried switching to full screen with the game simply in the other screen which may also work

I have a similar issue.

My external monitor is my primary display, however when the game runs in full screen, it displays on my MBP but with the added quirk of the mouse not working on the MBP screen… I have to move the cursor onto the (now black) external display, and control the game with my mouse on that screen?? It’s very confusing…

Anybody figured out how to get it to fully/successfully display on an external display?

I use an external display while playing but I keep the lid of my MBPro closed when attached.
