Extra character slot not appearing
is the ‘Create’ button clickable? if it is, your extra character slot is there. you don’t need to scroll to it or highlight it to create a character. the create button is always clickable if you have empty character slots (in my experience)

Did you buy the character slot and then the expansion, or the expansion then the character slot?
Account addons are done in the order they are bought/queued. If you did the expansion first it can take 2-4 hours AFTER the expansion is fully applied to your account for new account upgrades to show up.

I bought both at the same time. There was an option to add a new character slot with the purchase so I did. I received two emails; one receit for the x-pansion and one for the character slot.
The ‘create’ button is greyed out so I haven’t received the slot. Prior to the purchase I deleted one of my old characters that I didn’t want to play anymore so that slot was freed up, but there’s no extra slot.
It is now the day after so surely it can’t take this long time?

You could fill out a support ticket. It will take up to 3 days to hear back from them but they will be able to help you out with that.
