You may need to update your direct x.
“directX setup has detected, that a newer or equivalent version is already installed”
so nope, that’s not it.
i can, however, attach the GW2-test file from this nifty little NCsoft Tool….

I want you to download GPU-Z and make sure the graphics card is using all 16 PCI-e lanes. GPU-Z can be found here:
http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2252/techpowerup-gpu-z-v0-7-2/mirrors
You can also make sure that the graphics card is not over heating either using this application. Make sure that when you monitor your temperature and whether the graphics card is using all 16 PCI-e lanes that you are in Guild Wars 2, not at the character screen or login splash screen.

I see the current direct x in the diagnostic report, so that’s cool.
However, it looks like you’re using WDDM 1.1 drivers, you may need to update your drivers also.
ok, i’ll attach the gpu-z stuff below and then i’ll take a look at those WDDM drivers.
thx so far, guys/gals

aaand there’s the log.
edit: i looked into wddm drivers, and it seems that ver1.2 is only supported by win8. is this information correct?

Well, the temperature only seems to get to 83-84C which isn’t too dangerous yet. The bus lanes are also right, so it seems like right now your graphics card checks out.
Lets make sure your CPU isn’t holding you back. If you don’t already have software that monitors your CPU temperatures, then I recommend getting HWMonitor, which can be found here:
http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/1.23-setup.exe

thx, i’ll log a gaming session right now, i’ll attach the log in this post.

I was kind of hoping for a screen shot of the application because then I can see the min and max temperatures of your CPU. The only temperatures I get to see from your logs are the temperatures that were gotten when you were running the logs, which may not have been your maximum temperature.

t’will be done, good sir!
screenshot was taken after 1,5hrs of WvW and 2 runs of CoF

ok, things look quite differently after 3hrs of wvw and tpvp. mind that while in the first screen, details were set to maximum, while here, the details were reduced to minimum and the framerate locked to 30fps. still there’s a heat generation increase noticable

I’m having this same problem. I had good frames before and I came back with this latest patch and can barely play the game on lowest settings.
I have two of the same card series on Crossfire

Turn off crossfire using CCC. Makes a world of difference for this game.
so, still having the same issues, anyone got some more leads for me?

@tanztante to me this seems like a GW2 problem. I have exactly the same issue and I haven’t changed anything on my PC. Before the latest build I had around 40 fps in most areas. In WvW I would drop to 20 fps. Now I get 20-30 fps average and I drop to 3-5 fps in WvW. It gets absolutely unplayable.
All other games are running fine.
I’m on a HP laptop with a i7-2630QM and an AMD Radeon HD 6770M.

I would try deleting the local.dat file. This file is located in a directory named something along the lines of ‘Guild Wars 2’ in your user documents. This file just holds some of your user settings in the game, but has been known to cause all sorts of seemingly random problems. The file is automatically generated when the game starts again, so deleting the file is not a big issue.

thank you, i will try that =)

Hi tanztante!
Looking over your Game Advisor report, there’s just a couple of things you may also want to try should the previous suggestions not resolve the issue for you:
1 – You’ve got a number of apps running. Msconfig certainly wouldn’t hurt to rule out any conflicting apps.
2 – Your system seems to be lacking mobo drivers. The reason I say this is we’re seeing a generic driver name here (this can be found under "System Devices):
Name: PCI standard host CPU bridge
Device ID: PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_1605&SUBSYS_00000000&REV_00\3&18D45AA6&0&C5
Driver: n/a
I’d recommend looking up your mobo model # and downloading the latest Chipset, LAN, and Audio drivers to start.
3 – Playing with a Crossfire configuration, I’d also recommend downloading the latest CAP drivers as well if you haven’t already.
Hope this helps!

How do you turn crossfire off in CCC? I can see no option to do that.
