Guild Wars 2

This issue seems to pop up at random times.

Sometimes when I start the game, I get extremely slow loading times, while at other times there’s no issues at all.

Another problem would be is when I load my inventory, bank or any other UI related stuff, it won’t load the icons, or the background on the window of the menu im opening before its taken nearly a minute or sometimes even more.

Keep in mind that this doesn’t always occur.

I don’t got any anti-virus or anything else running the background taking up resources of any kind at all.

I have the same issue, but loading everything slowly, from the bootup to anything else basically. You only have this problem in this game?

I think this is an issue with your hard drive. How old and how full is yours? Have you defragmented it lately? If everything else is loading fast and your system is new you could try repairing/reinstalling your GW2 files.

It’s only in this game, everything else, everywhere else is fine really.
Both booting windows, as well as playing other games, or doing other things, no issues at all.

Only GW2 :/

i’ll try the thing about reparing or reinstalling GW2.

Alright so, after reinstalling ive been doing some testing, so far its a bit better, though it seems like its starting to get worse again – and can’t really figure out whats actually causing it.

Well I found out after installing and running Defraggler that my gw2.dat is fragmented. I haven’t got the chance to repair the game but you could check what yours say. If it’s fragmented I can’t believe it would mean any thing good at the least (this is assuming you run your GW2 from an HDD and not an SSD – they are not meant to be defragged and I don’t know if they would show correct info in a defrag program)

Same here,its pretty annoying.The UI – Map stays blank for like 25 secs after ive loaded into the game world and everything else had rendered perfectly fine,its just the kitten ui and map thats taking its while.Deleting temp folder or local.dat or fragmenting etc doesn’t help a thing at all,it started for me at around dec 10 patch i believe.Do have to note it doesnt seem to happen on every map…but will always happen atleast in LA.
