Guild Wars 2

I can log in but I cannot enter any of my characters from the character screen, so I wonder what is up with that.

Edit: Seems to be fixed now, but there’s like a massive queue going on or something.

Same for me. Picked a character hit the button to start and nothing happens. Eventually got a client error message relating to not being able to access server.

A lot of people are having the same issues right now. Happened less than 5 minutes ago. There’s a reddit post, too:

Same here, it also disconnects me after a minute of trying to select a character.

same here. was fine earlier today, now i’m getting error 42:0:9001:3858:101
“The game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time” after starting the game and trying to select a character to play.

I’m having the same issue.

I select a character and it hangs up without going to the loading screen. After somewhere between 30 seconds and 2 minutes, it gives me an error with Code=42:4:11:143:101. When I click OK, the game closes and tries to restart.

I was already in-game and trying to switch between characters when it first happened about 10 minutes ago.

Tried to swap to another character a few mins ago and can’t enter game as any of them anymoarz.

I’m in-game, but stuck in a story instance and unable to exit. Getting “cannot connect to login server” error periodically.

Same here – can log in and see my toons, but when I click the Play button nothing happens

I’m going nuts. Just finished world completion and I’m ready to run dungeons. I NEED to run dungeons!!

Add me to the list as well. I select a toon and nothing happens. The PLAY button just remains greyed out.

just happened to me. seeing as I have lots of company here, I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that it’s a server issue.

OR the forces of Scarlett have finally triumphed, and we all now must sacrifice one toon each time we want to log in.

I get to the character select screen like everyone else here, but I have a slightly different behavior. I select one of my toons and I get the error “Sorry, rubber band is broken or gerbils are tired of running” then it goes to the network access error message.

Same error for me too. I was actually in WvW when it hit; it didn’t kick me out or log me off, but the PPT timer stopped counting and when I tried to WP to another map or hit the “Leave the mists” button it just gave me the login server error. So I exited the game and now I can’t load in any characters, I just pops the error window and reboots the game. So much for my power-play weekend I guess.

Also, I did jump in GW1 and it worked fine. I know that may not mean anything, but I’ve noticed that many times GW2 has had issues GW1 has gone down too, so, that’s something :P

I was on earlier (about an hour ago) and then I logged off for a break and then came back and have been getting the same message — I’ve been put in queue. Not sure if I should just log off and try again another time.

There was an official word on Reddit they are aware of the issue and are working on i.

I wish they would put in an official word here. On their own forum. But, glad they are aware and working on it.
