mods : please don’t merge with the other FPS thread, I haven’t seen this mentioned before. My issue isn’t low FPS , but decent FPS ,slowly lowering over time, then crashing
The short of it is : If I set GW2 to lowest graphic setting, all ok. If I set it to Highest setting then I get 40 to 50 fps , and over 2 or 3 mins the FPS drop to 2 or 1 eventually , and then it crashes, this is whether I stand still in a quiet part of the game, or move about, whether I am alone, or there are 100 people doing Jormag or WvW.
My suspicions are memory leak, on top of the fact that GW2 is not optimised for SLI, as I noticed one Gcard hitting 100% , whilst the other stays below 20% , CPU hovers around 20-25% no matter what.
my setup is Win 7(64 bit) , GTX 670 X 2 , lots of RAM and SSD and top of range Mboard and 3rd gen i7 CPU, running 3 screens at 5880 by 1080.
footnote : for 2 mins ,with high graphics setting, I get to see the beauty of this game and it upsets me that I have to run it at min settings to never crash
