Hi all, I had to replace my motherboard after it died and even after reinstalling Win 7 and all my drivers I am getting around 30-40 fps in any area with people on the lowest settings. I used to get 60 fps with medium settings or 60 fps with low settings at places like SW or Teq. I went from using a MSI H81M-P33 R to a Gigabyte B85M-DS3H.

Specs:

MB: Gigabyte B85M-DS3H
GC: VGA MSI R9 270 GAMING 2G RT
PSU: EVGA 100-W1-0500-KR R
Processor: CPU INTEL PENTIUM G3258 3.2G 3M R
RAM: MEM 8G TEAM TDBD38G1600HC901 R
HDD: 1T WD WD10EZEX SATA6G R

My devices are also showing that I am missing the ethernet controller and SM Bus controller. Would that have anything to do with it? (I don’t know much about PCs) I haven’t been able to find those drivers on the manufacturer’s website, and I don’t have a CD Drive so I can use the disc to install everything.

download GPU-Z and run it while GW2 is running in a window. Look at the bus speed, it should say x16 version 3 @ x16 version 3. If its not, then reseat your 270.

Desktop: 4790k@4.6ghz-1.25v, AMD 295×2, 32GB 1866CL10 RAM, 850Evo 500GB SSD

Ok I unistalled the graphics card driver and I had to restart before reinstalling. When I turned my PC back on im getting no display with the hdmi in the graphics card, motherboard, or the VGA in the motherboard.

My main problem now is having no display

Edit: monitor is getting display. I had to use a DVI port on my graphics card. Weird that none of my MOBO ports would work?

Re-seat your GPU. Also, make sure it’s in a PCIe 16 slot (the one closest to the CPU).

It defaults to the GPU if it’s plugged in. It doesn’t just route the video to wherever, it comes directly out of the GPU.

I’m pretty sure that the HDMI port won’t work without drivers, which means you won’t get a picture until Windows boots.

THANKS GUYS

Computer problems are very stressful for me because I’m not the best with the inner workings of things, but I think it is back to being good!

I haven’t tested it out yet, but I’m getting ~130 fps on min settings with character models turned up, and around ~60 fps at all max, though I haven’t been to any highly populated areas. Regardless, it is way better than it was.

Thanks
