I am not entirely sure what is the cause, from what I have read it seems to be since the new patch but since my Photoshop has been playing up too with some brush delay I have reason to believe it may be a blend of both my relatively high end PC playing up and the recent patch destroying my once very decent frame rate.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this in the case of GW2. I have provided some CPU and GPU statistics alongside me playing GW2, but I’m not entirely sure in what constitutes a good number for the build, I just play video games man ^^

first guess : your cpu, core 0 is only running at 823Mhz (multiplier -8), should be 39 (3,4 Ghz) at heavy load, in that case clean your cpu vent and cooling element. But difficult to say if you don’t see all cores, something else could be stalling so the cpu has nothing to do.

ah sry did edit the post the same time you replied.
A tool like “http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html” or any other monitor tool will give more info.
edit: also your videocard is running pci-e 1.1 x16 instead of pci-e 2.0 x16 which is a power save mode.

As RedZebra said: Your GPU isnt going into its full PCI-E 3.0 x16 lane speed. Are you savvy enough to take the Videocard out and put it back in? That usually fixes it.

But on top of that, your CPU isn’t going into its loaded clock speed of 3.4ghz. That is most likely a powersaving issue that might resolve itself when your GPU bus speed issue is fixed. If not, you should look into your Windows Power Profiles.

There’s usually a High Performance profile and a Power Saving Profile by default. You’ll want to make sure its not on Power Saver.

You can edit the profiles yourself by going into “Change advanced power settings”. The specific bit you’ll be looking for is Processor Power Management→Minimum/Maximum Processor States.

Yes, for some reason at boot or at start of game the card isn’t switching to use all the PCIe lanes so the bandwidth between the video card and the CPU isn’t that much which reduces your frame rate. Also since the CPU is waiting on the video card, it drops speed as it’s twiddling it’s thumbs.
