…while still allowing the game to look decent? I’ve attached two screenshots of what I have (first is Task Manager’s take on how my CPU is doing, second is my in-game graphics settings). I want to run it at a good frame rate but still allow it to look at least OK. The screenshots are both set in the Silver Wastes. I have also done tests in Caledon Forest and in a zerg during a labyrinth run the other night. It’s a laptop, yes. And no, I cannot afford to upgrade or purchase a new computer at this time or in the foreseeable future. I have updated each driver to its latest release and done a defrag as well as a malware scan and virus scan.
I usually run with settings on almost low just to hit 40FPs (around 25 in zergs) but I’m aching to get the graphical fidelity up a little bit more.
General Specs (based on a dxdiag):
AMD A6-3400M APU w/ Radeon HD (4 CPUs) 1.4GHz
6g RAM
3g VRAM
Windows 7 x64 Home Premium
First, actually you don’t have VRAM, the integrated HD 6520G is absonding with a bit of system memory which is why available physical memory is 5610 MB as oppose to be closer to 6144 MB. But that’s neither here nor there.
While the HD 6520G does perform a bit better than the Intel HD 3000 integrated GPU, it’s still not great. Looking over your settings I can’t really see a way to up your graphics settings much more than where they are. You can also take the frame limiter off, it is occasionally wonky. I can’t tell but is your VSync on as well?
