Never had any problem playing the game at 60+ fps with max settings, now suddenly i’m experiencing fps drops down to 15 in Hotm and all pvp maps.

Amd radeon hd 6970 if it’s of any interest.

Any tip is welcome.

I was playing for a while.. had about 60 fps on living world.. and in some days fps dropped to 40 then 30, and yesterday i had only 10-20fps. It was impossible to play anymore lol. i started to make hd defragmentations and so on, it helped a little, but it was still 15-25 fps only.

Then i saw my core temperatures was quite high.. Turned off my pc.. opened case, took my cooler out.. cleaned it. Applied new thermal and OMG! got 100+ fps where i got 25 earlier..

so try it out maybe same problem. hope it will help.

A 75 fps gain from applying new thermal paste? What the hell were you using before, crisco? I’m calling bullkitten. And an HD defrag isn’t going to change your framerate, only perhaps your loading times, and even then the gw2.dat would have to be 90% fragmented or more to see even at most a 5% gain in loading speed.
