Guild Wars 2

Title says it all.

I run at around 60 FPS, my desktop doesn’t have any problems performance-wise, running everything on max settings. FPS drops from 60 to 20-30 when I open the Contacts panel ingame.
I’ve also asked my guildmates to see if their computers react in the same way and quite a few of them have the same “problem”.

i5 2500k
HD Radeon 6870
8GB RAM

I can confirm this, even though my FPS is ridiculously low at all times.

Indeed, please try this out and check your FPS before and after.

Theese FPS issues seems to flurish … I hope we might see a patch/fix to theese in next “days” . It may not calm u down , but your problem is most relevant of theese , cause u have FPS drop only while you open contacts panel , which isn´t that a big problem , considering that lot of us have permanent FPS drop during everything . It´s like whining about one small tree in huge forrest , while others have kitteny gardens :/

Even though I know it´s annoying to play like this , but we all hope to see fix soon just be patient (at least you can play the game and not watching a slideshow)

Hi Pozmol, I’m not whining at all, it’s not a critical issue indeed and I imagine ArenaNet has bigger fish to fry. I’d just like to see first of all, if people have the same issue or not, and maybe see if a fix is already out. If not, well hopefully Anet will just add this issue on the shelves

I see your point , pardon me then I think this minor defect will be fixed as well with those major FPS issues If your game runs smoothly , and only that panel gives u FPS drop , it´s probably issue of same kind I believe cause for instance I have really smooth char selection and creation , but ingame it´s like 15-50 FPS dropping and that´s only in pve , in towns it is maximally 10-15 FPS , but as well it might not be it .

However , theese issues have not any solutions ( only those like , older/new drivers , resolution , etc … and any of those are not working for me ) . good luck on fixing ur problem

People have report FPS loss with opening guild panel or contact panel or any panel etc. Some have concluded it was due to their installed version of adobe flash since the GUI uses flash. Updating flash and/or disabling hardware acceleration helped some, but not all.
