First time logging in, in like a long

I get my password, log in and everything. but when i open the launcher it says i have the wrong password, eve though im using the same password is used to log into the forums.
And i have all the things needed for the password recovery. Except i cannot remember what one of my characters name was. its been that long since ive played.
please, help?

It should be the same password. Make sure you aren’t making a typo when putting it in. If all else fails you might try contacting support and getting a password change.
