Flawless Widescreen Not Working
Flawless Widescreen is broke for me too. Worked fine for me until today’s patch. Would love to see a fix for it. Or better yet, would love for ANET to just fix the UI in their game.

I signed up on WSGF.org I am going to see about contacting the code’s writer. Maybe he can offer some insight. I agree on the UI business, would be great if I could have some measure of control over it. Even if I just set UI resolution
Same here. Anet said they were “working on it with AMD” during launch. It’s taking them an awful lot of time. Maybe because they knew that we had FW? I hope they see this and respond.
Ah! This is a real issue for widescreen (multi monitor) gamers wanting to play GW2 with eyefinity enabled – a simple forum search proves the point.
Though I cannot tell anyone not to use ‘Flawless’ and would not, we all need to be aware that Anet has said, in a direct post regarding widescreen gaming, that we would be using ‘Flawless’ or any other third party software at our own risk!
I am a member of WSGF but have not used it for a while. As I understand it, Haydn ( the author of ‘Flawless’) updates the game ‘plugins’ as swiftly as possible after learning of any needed update. So it is possible that users may have to wait a few days for said update.
The questions that could be asked of Anet (and not in an accusatory way) are;
Did this new GW2 update deliberately ‘break’ the ‘Flawless’ tool or, maybe, make the launcher or game scan for ‘Flawless’ and shut it down?
Is it just an unhappy coincidence for ‘Flawless’ users that it is not now compatible with GW2?
I and others have stated that we do not want to resort to using ‘Flawless’ to correct the displaying of GW2 – we would much rather have a legitimate fix from Anet. With that in mind;
Why, when this matter has been known so long (we where promised that Anet is working on a fix 6 months ago) is Anet not responding to the community over this matter?
We eyefinity users feel let down – especially when we see reports that Nvidia surround is fully supported in GW2.
Yeah, we can create characters in single monitor mode. We can then log in and play GW2 in eyefinity mode very well too. However, amongst other issues, UI elements are still badly placed and cut scenes badly scaled for eyefinity users.
I asked for Anet to ‘throw us a bone’ in another thread about the eyefinity issues.
Now I ask that Anet either fix the issues with eyefinity, allow the legitimate use of ‘Flawless’ – it gives no advantage in game that would be unfair to other players (we can already play in widescreen), launch their own eyefinity fix utility or at the very least communicate with the players that this matter concerns.
Another question that comes to mind is; If a small independent developer (no offense Haydn) can fix the issues why can Anet not?
It seems to me that Anet is placing gamers in a horrible situation here – either do not use ‘Flawless’ and suffer the broken (from the gamer point of view) display(s) or use the ‘Flawless’ utility and risk the ban hammer for breaking T&C / user agreement.
I have been somewhat vocal on this issue in the forums and would hope that Anet would take account of my voice and those of others on the matter in a positive way and act in a positive manner. Most of all, I hope that Anet will not take any punitive action (either in the forums or in the game) against myself or others discussing this problem. It is not our fault that this issue exists!
EDIT: About the author of ‘Flawless’ – as I understand it, Haydn is a very busy person and though support through ‘Flawless’ is updated from time to time for many games, ‘Flawless’ may not be top priority for Haydn.

HaYdEn has not been on since mid January meaning that there probably won’t be a fix for a while, if ever. I really wish there was a UI adjustment tool included in the game, I hate having all of the menus on the edges of my peripherals, it is highly distracting. The fix probably doesn’t work anymore cause the game build is completely different. Judging by how much better the game is utilizing graphical resources, I would say they altered some of the games graphics engine and now Flawless Widescreen is not hooking correctly. Either way, I won’t be playing as much until it’s fixed, looking left and right while fighting with three screens gives me a headache, peripherals should stay peripherals. If anyone has an alternative program or solution, I am all ears.
yes a realy big issue I don’t even want to play this ui is unbearable
Bump! Been playing on eyefinity for 4 years now. Getting really fed up with the so called ‘professional’ big name game studios who can’t get it right. People like Hayden make these publishers look like amateurs.
Getting a sore neck and headache with widescreen broken. I also will be reducing my play until this is resolved.
Fix it please!
another gw2 player here hoping that we get some native eyefinity support… i love this game, but without proper HUD and cinematics for triple screens it is just cruddy.

I so second this. I’ve noticed that Hadyen has not been working on FS for a long time, so I really hope that Anet will soon fix this It’s horrible for us that have gotten used to their world with peripheral vision to have to go back to one screen. I almost feel like I’m disabled in some way :/
Please ANet, fix this like the link above showed that you planned to do in the next “few updates”. That was 6 months ago …..
Same here. Was loving the eyefinity fix. I still run it because of the camera fix. I find the camera is less wonky with FW.
I am having issues with flawless now. Never did before but GW crashes the 2nd I start it. Better yet not my UI completely disappears when alt tab out of game even without flawless running.
Anyone else?
