Hello! Today’s morning I tried to relog to my main character and I got message that says it’s breaking naming policy and before I can play I have to rename it.I don’t really think my name can break your name policy according to naming policy. I believe the reason why my character is blocked is that I made angry a lot of people so they reported me. Please look at my ticket -> [Request #1124956:Blocked Character]

Might I inquire what the name of your character was?

It is frowned upon to submit a Ticket, and then post in the forums asking for a speedy resolution. I am afraid you will just have to wait your turn in the queue.

Gaile has specifically asked for these names not to be posted on the forums as most do break TOS. There has been the occasional banned but innocent name, but that’s pretty rare.

You’re not alone. Same here, already the second time with the same name.
Was approved before and they said they don’t want to let it happen again and said that they will make a note on my account. And 4 months later it happened again. Just wait like I do… for 6 days now.

Im gonna risk it,my name is Drunk Mike.While doing guild missions I found this skritt,so Anet you can do only two things now,unblock my name or rename all skrits

Google “drunk Mike” follow the link to Urban dictionary, there you will find out why the name is banned. I think you need to change it, I would if I were you.

I have never herd this slang term before but someone has and probably reported it to Anet. its a really good idea to do some research on the name we pick just in case, Google it before you use it. I think this thread should be closed.

It is irrelevant, there are imaginary/fanciful words! You can not take it seriously
To add some word you just need a few friend to go http://www.urbandictionary.com/game.php and hit Like button. And as the URL says “game” , no comment..

That is the issue though.
For you it is just imaginary/fanciful words, but quite clearly for others it does have a meaning that would go against the naming policy.

I’ve heard that song before. It always ends the same way.

Once I googled it I could see why it was banned (and why Gaile says not to put banned names on the forum).

After I visited the entry in urbandictionary and looked up its slang meaning, if I named one of my characters this way, I would be in fact happy to rename him as fast as I can. And it’s even a free rename.
