Im getting real sick of typing this out so im going to keep this short and sweet and use mostly quotes from my various e-mailes/pms to support.
Yes I tried e-mailing support about this, I also pm’ed the community rep. Support trolled me and no response from rep in over a week so here I am hoping to finally get some resolution to this insane issue.
This happen on Wednesday night not last week but week before.
Here is a point by point timeline of what happened:
- Make post in thread titled " What do you find most fun on this game?" saying “Reading the they deleted my guild thread 2 posts down from this one right now.” Anyone who remembers that thread I sure will agree it sure was entertaining while it lasted.
- roughly two hours later the “they deleted my guild thread” gets deleted, no surprise there.
- About 30 min after that I get a PM stating:
“Your post in What do you find most fun on this game? was infracted by a moderator:
Reading the they deleted my guild thread 2 posts down from this one right now.
Moderator Note:
Please do not make posts that contest the actions of a moderator. If you wish to appeal the action of any moderator, please send an e-mail to forums@arena.net for review.
This infraction serves only a warning. Additional infractions may award Infraction Points which can negatively affect your account. Infraction points may cause loss of privileges, including forum suspension.
•Your message was deleted.
This is an automated message generated by an infraction given by a human moderator. If you believe you have received this infraction in error or wish to make an appeal, please send an e-mail to forums@arena.net."
- Thinking that this was just a honest mistake and they didn’t check the timestamps of my post and the deleted thread(I mean they cant honestly expect us to be psychic can they?) I sent this good humored e-mail to support pointing out there mistake:
“Want to explain to me how exactly that post contest actions of a moderator(at the time it was posted), it was made well over a hour if not two or three before the deleted my guild thread mysteriously dissaperared(i dont even know where it went).
I dont own a time machine or a delorian that can do 88mph with a lighting rod and a flux capacitor.
I dont think you can infract someone for contesting future actions of a moderator that havent even happened yet.
Please explain how i am supposed to magically know actions that your moderation staff is going to take in the future so i can avoid making post about those future actions so i can avoid these infractions in the future."
- To which I get the response of:
“Greetings,
Thanks for contacting the Guild Wars 2 Community team with your inquiry.
Threads can be edited by their authors. Posting “Reading the they deleted my guild thread 2 posts down from this one right now” can only be taken as contesting the actions of the moderators. Whether that’s how you intended it to sound or not, that’s the way it comes across and as such, had to be removed."
- Note that my post had not been edited, and even if it had it would have reflected that with the timestamp anyways noting the last time the post was edited. So basically saying we(the support staff) are to incompetent to be able to check simple timestamps so are going to go ahead and essentially troll me and tell me that indeed you are supposed to be psychic.
I mean seriously how can one receive a infraction for something that hasn’t even happened yet.
