Since you’ve visited their website, I’d change the password to both your email address and your GW2 log in, just to be on the safe side (Make sure they are both different too!)

LOL—here we go again with more posts about this old problem. One of the real problems is people reacting first and not reading the entire e-mail where is says —not from Anet!!! and they could visit here and see all the info about this scam too.

Another problem is people being rude about it. The guy is just trying to warn people about this as you can see.

By posting the phishing link, just like everyone else is. I’m starting to believe that it’s phishers posting these “occurrences” so more players see it because I too can’t believe so many people are that panicky that they didn’t make it to the not from AreanaNet message but can take a screenshot, clip it to size, and upload it. I’m expecting a YouTube video with a voice over asking what this means next with the speaker reading off the URL.

Not being rude at all. Just truth. This scam is posted multiple times every single with the same screenshot. In fact when this one as posted there was another post almost directly under the ops’ post. Not only that, but there are stickies about it.
When I 1st got this scam I read the whole thing and saw—not from Anet staff (which everyone can read if they took the time). I reported it an deleted ingame. I came to the forum and looked and saw the stickie as well as posts and didn’t feel the need to add another redundant post since Anet was well aware and had informed players.
