Just purchased the game and want to jump right in but my friend is currently uncontactable so I can’t find which server he is on.
Since I want to check out the game ankitten ot particularly keen on guesting, I was wondering about the free transfers I noted on the wiki – just to be clear, if you deleted all your characters then the transfer is free correct?
Also, is there a wait period (other than the 5-30 minute wait) that affects this (since I am currently joining a server, would I have to wait one week before transferring)?

Yes, you can make a character to play in the game then delete it and any others and transfer for free.

“The transfer fee is only charged if you have characters on your account; in other words, if your account has no characters or you delete all existing characters first, you will be prompted to select a new home world after creating a new character, free of charge.
To transfer to a different world, go to the character selection screen (using F12 or when you first logon) and select the desired world; you will be logged out while the game makes these changes, which might take 5-30 minutes. You can transfer once every seven days at a cost determined by the destination server population and whether or not you have characters".
Making the initial choice of a server is not counted as transfer so the first transfer can be at any time.
P.S. The forum filter has a horror of people trying to sneak naughty words into a conversation. If you look closely at the filtered words and ignore spaces you will be able to see a naughty word in it. :P
