Hey,
its not funny anymore. Seriously.
I’m not flaming or anything, but this is awkward.

The patch was released yesterday, and since then, more and more people I hear about get this Freeze after a short time, or a crash with a report option.
And in this time, I haven’t seen a single person from the team replying to this or when this is fixed.
This is CERTAINLY the patch that caused it, a second before the patch I NEVER had problems with GW, maybe a crash every now and then (1 in 2 weeks).

But why is nobody giving us atleast a statement on how or when it is fixed?
A part of your playerbase can’t go and participate on the high-seeing-forward event, which the main reason I’m writing here now.
If there wouldn’t be an important event going on, I would wait before this is getting fixed, but imho this is an important matter you should actually go look after, so we can be on the event.

Would be cool if anybody atleast telling us whats happening here. I’m sitting on hot stones half the day and wait before I go online again.

PS: My fastest crash was after 6 seconds. Couldn’t even write something ingame.
PSS: No it’s not fixed by deleting the Local.dat, neither does restarting the computer, repairing the game or reinstalling.

Had them since BWE1, and they’ve just increased in amount.

Rapidly grow “Out of memory” issue after last patch doing GW2 unplayable anymore.

Hello, Ive got this problem, once I log in and press the “big red Play” button, the game wont start. In fact it starts, but wont even show me my character list, theres just this transparent game-window. Do you think its because of this new-patch problem or should I search a lil bit more? Thanks in forward.

Edit: Deleting Local.dat worked like a charm for me.

I wonder if they do a maintenance soon.
I mean, I paid for the game and I wanna play it. Its not like the servers are offline, a lot of people can play, but still numerous can’t because of the latest patch.
Still not a single word from the tech-team about this.9

yeah same here. when the game first launched i had no issues what so ever, other than the occasion crash, days if not weeks apart, but since last patch. i keep crashing when trying to do any type of dungeon, or worst yet, when i am just trying to log in initially. i dont want to rage or anything, but it has just been getting really irritating especially since i really love the game, and want to just be able to play it with minimal issues like i did back in the first month of release.

I was trying to do the event. I got near the end and it kept crashing. I couldn’t get any credit and I was unable to do the event because of this. A few friends are also saying they are crashing often when they hadn’t before. :<

I had the same issue after patch, would crash seconds into the game. I disabled reflections and it fixed it. Although I used to be able to have them on…

You can edit video settings in the character selection screen before you’re in the world.

I set everything to lowest already, that’s not fixing the problem at all.

I can’t figure it out at all…

I’ve tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game, updating drivers and windows sp, lowering all my graphic settings.. even tried using the “-useOldFov” thing.

My screen freezes, the music continues playing, and the only way to get out of the game is to ctrl-alt-del.. Happens either during loading once I select a character. IF I make it into the game and everything loads, the error happens within 1 min.

nvidia GTX580 is my gpu

Same thing happening to me, have a 560 card. After the latest patch, the game became unstable. Did not have this problem before. Thought it’s the graphics driver but it doesn’t seemed to be the case. Hopefully, there’ll be a fix soon.

I am also getting this freeze and sound keeps playing only way out is ctrl+alt+del i just wanna play

I am also experiencing crashes and disconnects. I was banking in LA and the game crashed. I was playing a newly created asura and got disconnected multiple times before giving up.

I have the same problem!( Every 1-30 minutes crash!!!((( Terrible!

Yeah same problem. In game usually character select my game blinks, then freezes, and then stops responding and must be closed via the task manager. Was playing one day not at all the next, everythings updated and every other game on my pc runs fine.
