For the past 2 weeks I’ve been experiencing a lots (several times a day) of crashes. I don’t have any specific patterns though I have noticed :
If I’m tabbed out for more than 1-2 min and try to tab back in : the game take foreground but wont answer and nothing shows up (I ear the in game sound but still see the desktop, clicking does nothing). I have to open the taskmanager and kill GW2.
When the Octovine dies in Auric Basin it’s like 33% chance the game crashes with a crash report to send to Anet
Random crash while doing meta events in Maguma with crashs reports to send to Anet.
I’ve tried both 32 and 64bit client, I’ve tried to change a lot of visual settings (quality, resolution, fullscreen/windowed, etc.), I’ve tried to repair both cclient (32/64) and both time the repair tool stops responding at some point during the progression and I have to stop it using task manager. I’ve tried to reinstall Guild Wars with the same result.
Has anyone encountered the same kind of issue and resolved it ?
Using W10 64bit, Nvidia 760GTX with up to date drivers (I don’t have issue with any other games).
There is an issue with one of the recent Nvidia updates that has caused some problems for people. I think the majority of the issues have been on laptops, but there have been some desktop issues as well. Try rolling back your driver to the one released on Feb 15. It has fixed the issue for some.
