Hello All,

I just bought and downloaded GW2 from the official site following directions. After download, I mounted the .DMG, installed to my application directory and everything seemed to go smoothly. I then tried to start up the application from my applications folder. Nothing happens when I click on the Guild Wars 2.app. I read a thread about admin issues, so I created a new user account that did not have admin preferences and the GW2 started up fine and is currently downloading the game. Anyone else having this issue or know how to resolve so I can play on my regular user account? Thanks.

I have this issue. I type in my admin password and user name to install the game and it doesn’t launch, hence I don’t have an admin user account.

Am going to try giving my self Admin privileges, hence skipping a step and see if the game will launch.

Tried making my account an admin account and launcher still fails to launch. I play the game with VMFusion and actual an upgrade disk of windows that works for an installation of a VM profile. I contacted customer support. 3they say I don’t meet the min requirements to play the game; yet I play it on my mac in VMFusion cutting my processor and ram. Its the processor chip not being a A 5 and its a 2. Mac-mini server 2010. I don’t see how this would matter in a software issue when its clearly not a hardware issue. So launcher still doesn’t work for me Admin or standard user. I was told to use the forums and they don’t want to deal with this issue anymore at NCSoft for Guildwars2.

A 2010 Mac Mini does not meet the requirements of the game. If you can play it, more power to you, but that machine is far behind min spec.
