Guild Wars 2

Hello! A friend of mine is really excited to play GW2 with me, however paypal, their credit card, isn’t working to buy the game. They have the funds, and the card works on other websites so we know lack of coin isn’t the problem. Is there something he may be doing wrong? Is this a common bug going on lately? He lives in Japan, is the game available to be played with that IP address?

From what I was told, he tried to put in all his information and hit ‘submit’ only for the page to reload as though he didn’t put in any info…he’s tried on multiple computers and different browsers.

I am not entirely sure why he can’t purchase the game from the site directly. Either he is missing something or not filling out the info correctly…

Tell him to try purchasing the game from “The Humble Store”. Google it and you will find a link. I am not sure what the policy is here on third party links so I will not be posting a link myself.

I can promise the site is safe. I have purchased copies there myself.

Thank you for your message! However the website The Humble Store didn’t have the game there…we’re trying gamespot, but it said ‘encountered internal error’ when he tried to buy it. <.> He so wants to play, wish I knew what was going on to help.

Make sure your friend clicks/chooses one of the icons indicating which kind of card/account he is using to make a purchase.

If he continues to have issues, he can submit a request to the Billing CS Team for assistance. Top/Bottom of Page – Support – Submit a Request

Also if there is a way to fix this problem, would it be possible for him to be on American servers? He lives in Japan, and is mainly buying the game to have fun, role-play and do quests with me. It would suck to buy the game only to not be able to play with him.

He should be able to access American Servers, yes.

Thank you! He managed to buy the serial number for the game, made an account, and I’ve been guesting in his world so it’s been fun ^^. However, the problem with buying anything GW2 related is still happening. He has paypal, he tries to use it to buy gems, and it doesn’t work. I suggested he fill out a ticket, but I wonder if this glitch happens a lot to people who use paypal?

I use paypal and have never run in to this issue. He could always try using his bank card or a prepaid card.
