My friend had only recently entered the world of Tyria. However, his journey was cut short by a hacker attack on his account that left him with no characters. Strangely, he was prompted to select a world. He has already contacted the ArenaNet support team, and they refused to help him with his problem. Now, he no longer has the motivation to keep playing due to all his progress being lost. Is there any way to contact Gaile Gray about the matter? I’ve seen her help with several players’ account issues.

What do you mean support refused to help? That does not sound right. What exactly did he ask support for? If his account was hacked and support can verify it, there is a restoration option to restore the account, but it has to be shown that the account was hacked first. If your friend already opened a ticket, you should update your post with the ticket #. Gaile will probably not be back on line until Monday, so you may need to wait until then for a response.
Here is ArenaNet’s response to my friend:
According to our records, you contacted us saying that your account may have been compromised. We regret to inform you that none of the characters whose names you sent us exist. Furthermore, there is no existing proof that you’re characters existed in the first place. We would like to point you to our account security page that is on the website, located under your account and security. We apologize for what happened and hope that this does not terminate you playing guild wars 2.

You need to post a ticket number for Gaile to use to see the details. Without that or the friend’s display name at the very least, she can’t help you.
This happen to my lvl 80 ranger and i got a response saying they are investigating the problem and its been 2 days with no response, i do have a lvl 80 warrior but prefer rangers
It’s the weekend. People sometimes go home to spend time with families and get away from work once in a while. You will probably hear something in the next few days.

My friend’s account name is ragincajun.7148. His support account, however, seems to have been disabled, and he cannot access it and find out the ticket number.

Did he ever have one in the first place? It’s something you have to create (the ticket AND a support account) – Support accounts are not automatically created with the game.
Also, he should have an email if he submitted the ticket – it will have the ticket number on it, and can be used to reply/update the ticket.
