Q:
Function 'F' Keys (Mac)
The Arbriel Family and dynasty of characters have been around since inception in 2001.
A:
They work, but you probably need to change your keyboard settings if you want to use them as standard function keys. By default the Mac keyboard setup requires you to press the “fn” key to use the F1-F12 functions.
You can change this by going to System Preferences > Keyboard and then check the box that says, “Use all F1, F2 etc as standard function keys.”
Once you make the change you can use F1-F12 without having to press the “fn” key to do so. However, to do things like change volume and such you will need to use the “fn” key.
